Just for practice - Why clean water is so important

     Many parts of the world are losing important natural resources, such as forests, animals, or clean water. Choose one resource that is disappearing and explain why it needs to be saved. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. 

     There are lots of important natural resources are disappearing rapidly, such as forests, animals and clean water. Among all these disappearing resources, the reduction of clean water is especially a serious environment problem which might terribly affect the entire world. Here, the clean water resources not only mean those drinking water, but also mean those clean sea water and river water which the marines and aquatics live in. To examine this argument, we have to look into further details. Following are the reasons to explain why the clean water is so important that people have to start the protective action immediately.

     First, clean water is the necessary living resource which human depend on. More than 70% of human body is consisted of water. It could help people to adjust the temperature of body and facilitate people’s circulation system. Without clean water, people might easily get fainted or even get infected with some rare disease. That is why that the dead rating in Africa is so high- because there is lack of clean water in the Dark Continent and the people cannot get sufficient water to help their body to operate. In order to survive, people have to save the clean water resource immediately. 

     Second, not only human, but also the mammals such as lions, kangaroos even desert foxes need clean water to survive. The consistent of their body are just like human. Most of them need water to adjust their body temperature, to facilitate their circulation system and help them to digest food. Take lions as example. Because lions use the evaporation of the sweat to adjust their body temperature, they have to drink more than 3000 ml water per day otherwise they might die. If the environment is lack of clean water or there is no rain this year, the population of the mammals might reduce drastically and seriously decrease the diversity. To protect the other animals and maintain the biodiversity on earth, we need to save our clean water resource.  

     
Third, marines also need clean water. A lot of fishes and marine mammals could only survive in clean sea water. Polluted sea water might reduce the population of planktons and sea grasses, the main food of small fishes. And those small fishes are also the food resources for the other larger marines. Therefore the water population could affect entire food chain of the sea. In the same times, dirty sea water could easily make the sea animals sick and increase the dead rating. Such as salmons and sea turtles need to live in very clean sea water otherwise their body might get cancers easily. In recent years, due to the polluted water releases by the factories and metropolis, the ecosystem of the sea has been seriously damaged. If we want to protect the sea and its creatures, we must keep the sea water clean. 

In conclusion, the above three paragraphs perfectly shows how important the clean water is and why we must protect it. The clean water is the indispensable ingredient of a habitable environment for all creatures. Not only human, but also the wildlife and marines need clean water to survive. In order to continue the human race and to maintain the biodiversity on the earth, people must start to save the clean water right now.
