Hyper-Connected Objects

This project is about an Art Centre in Dubai, focus on the exploration of new organic configuration for architecture. The cell-growing logic was applied in the project for getting more possibilities. Based on the hierarchy of system, the entire building could be separated into 3 parts: cell spaces, the coated skin and the landform ornaments. All different programs are contained in the 9 cell spaces. Each one works independently but corresponds each others horizontally or vertically. Coated skin functions the building as the circulation, and landform is the extension of the building itself, make the entire project coherent. Through the combination of these 3 systems, the project become one entity: not just one building, but a network system of this Metropolis.

Note: 我覺得這方案沒法整合得像STEVEN那麼好的原因是方法問題。這方案我是試著從大到小去做的: 跟傳統的建築設計一樣,從一個大尺度的粗略量體開始弄: 也因此抓整體的形(包含各向立面與透視)會比STEVEN系的抓得準(OUTLINE抓得到)。像STEVEN是從小構件開始做,所以從細部到整體可以看到作品很連貫而且很多DETAIL。不過在房子長到大尺度以後就變得很難調整整體造形,很多時候變成鏡射複製(像他新的作品EVOLO大樓也是如此)。他最棒的作品還是THESIS大樓,既有DETAILS也有整體造形。不過這方案另一個重點是:在學校方案佔去我大部份時間後,我要如何在剩餘時間快速完成一個方案:因此不可能像學校HERNAN的方案一樣從小細部開,必須以更有效率、更能抓到大方向的方式去執行。(雖然我這方案就是以他的THESIS為目標做的,不過作為業餘作品時間上只能做到這樣了XD-以設計來講總體時間大概是4-5天的工時吧,雖然是零散的去做;而且有些不知道怎麼捏的部份其實是套CHRISTOS的XD)
