Just for practice - The World’s Largest High-Speed Rail Network

For the last several decades, China government has invested a large amount of money to build the high-speed rail network around its territory. They keep buying those foreign technologies and launch different of services. Now this system is the largest rail network in the world. It attracts more than 1.3 million passengers every day and this number is still increasing.  
    

This high-speed railway system now has completely replaced those domestic airlines. Due to the air traffic congestion, the flights in those big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing are always delayed. It could not satisfy those business people who need punctual and fast transportations anymore. Therefore now the high-speed rail is a better choice for them - it is fast, punctual and comfortable. Even in the second–class cabin of the high-speed train could provide the passengers a comfortable ride: there are plenty of leg rooms for each seat, power plugs for everyone and uninterrupted mobile phone reception. The most important thing is all this amazing services are very cheap. The ticket price of high-speed train is less than half of full-fare economy class plane. 
    
The Chinese government still controls all the rail companies in this nation. Since 2007, these rail officials have already launched over 9300 kilometers services. The construction scale of this railway system is the largest in the world, over 13000 kilometers, almost two times larger than the second place, Spain. The growth of the railway system is also astonishing. Other countries might spend three to four decades to finish this great construction, China only expends ten years to build this enormous system because of the cheap land expropriation, cheap labors and great economy scale. Undoubtedly this is the wonder of the railway world. 
     
Although some public doubts on the safety and commercial viability of the rail system due to its rapid construction and massive investments, the high-speed rail network certainly contents the specific needs of those white collar workers in China, and the techniques which used in this grandiose construction surely would move human sociality forward.
